If I graduated in December, can I still attend Slope Day?
Yes. Slope Day is partly funded by student activity fees. December graduates have paid the fall student activity fee, and are therefore allowed to use their CU IDs to attend without purchasing a ticket.
I am an alumnus/ former employee and still have my CU ID. Do I still need to purchase a ticket?
CU IDs are scanned at the gates, so unless you are a current Cornell student, staff or faculty member, you will need to purchase a ticket.
Can I recommend a band to perform at Slope Day?
You sure can! As long as the line-up for this year is not complete, we are more than happy to hear who you think should play at Slope Day. Go to the Music Page to fill out the suggestion form.
Please keep in mind that not all artists are feasible for this event, due to scheduling, pricing, or logistical reasons.
Can I attend Slope Day if I do not have a current Cornell ID?
In order to gain access to Slope Day events, you must have a valid Cornell ID or know someone who does. If you are a guest, the ID holder must buy you a guest ticket and accompany you on the slope. For more information, go to the Tickets Page.
Why can't I bring my backpack onto the slope?
To facillitate the gate check process, Slope Day volunteers need to be able to check your bags for prohibited items in a reasonable amount of time. By limiting the size of the bags, we can ensure that the line moves fast enough.
Also, backpacks tend to have fragile and valuable items in them, which could be damaged or lost in the excitement of the event.
